Is the bass guitar easy and fun to play?
I once took guitar lessons but I quit them and now I really want to do something in music and I chose this. My dad says the only way for me to get a bass is if I lease a bass first and take lessons.
Also, what is a great bass guitar that is in the $160-$180 range ?

Bass is a fun instrument to play. There are tons of beginner bass to choose from. Squire, Epiphone, Etc.
