Should I take beginner guitar lessons or intermediate?
I want to take guitar lessons but I don’t know which class. I’ve played the violin since 3rd grade and now I’m in 10th grade so I’ve have 7 years with music. I don’t want to go back and learn how to read notes when I already know how. But I’m afraid to take intermediate because I’m not good at guitar skills like fingering and strumming.

Pretty easy decision for me……If I were you, I’d take the beginner lessons…..The strings on a guitar are tuned in fourths, not fifth’s like on a violin….To me, the strings on a guitar seems “backward” You will not have to learn notation again, just fingering………take the beginning stuff and then move quickly to intermediate is my suggestion….

Probably beginner because you’ll still need to learn guitar technique. You can doze off during the music reading part.
When I decided to learn bagpipes I had to take the beginner class even though I have a degree in music performance.

I would go with beginner guitar lessons because guitar is still pretty different from violin.
There are chords, two extra strings and a whole different way of holding the instrument.
However, from experience (I took piano lessons for 7 years and picked up guitar independently), it’s really easy to learn basic guitar skills on the Internet or through a book, especially if you have a good background in music theory. Then, after you’re good enough, like it and want to pursue it, you can try intermediate or even advanced lessons with a real teacher! It’s really your choice!
Good luck and have fun learning!

Definitely Beginner.
It is better to really polish the skills at the beginning level than to try and jump to an intermediate while leaving behind some needed skills.

guitar is totally different from guitar get the beginner classes just because u can play another instrument do sent mean u can play another one

Beginner. It’s a new instrument, an entirely new demon to slay. Obviously you have some advantage from playing violin so really you just have to learn the dialect in which the guitar speaks and it’s customs. LOL!

Been looking for the right learning program to:
* Play any and all riffs and patterns accurately so that they come out sounding just the way you like them to!
* Create your very own patterns and riffs at will
* Learn to play along simply by listening to a song on the radio or from a CD
* Be able to strum, pick, or tap out any style of guitar playing that you could ever want to
* Find out how to turn your guitar playing skills into an actual profitable venture!
Boasting a star-studded line up of guitar teachers (including the world-famous Ben Philips), this course claims to be able to really and truly force you into being an expert in every single aspect of the guitar.
In contrast to most other guitar courses, the Guitar Superstars Course stands out right from the start with its slick looks and heavy focus on jamming. You owe it to yourself to look at this program.
