His Hot Licks videos are some of the very best teaching tools available. I saw him live at a Blues On The Rocks annual show in Denver about 10 yrs ago. He put on a great set as an underlining act to the Blues Master…B.B. King.

I’ll be the last …
I’ll be the last person to whine about how someone does or doesn’t play. I was just simply pointing out how amazing it is that he picks so much. I totally agree with ya that music changes styles with time and that’s a great thing kuz how boring would it be if we had to listen to nothing but Eric Johnson style music all the time. As awesome as he is, listening to him for more than about ten minutes gets to me. Starts to sound like everything starts to run together. God bless! Keep on pickin!
