I heard this sonmg for the first time in my car….was raining and I had all I owned in that car… and the gas tank waqs on E…I picked up a hitchhiker and he gave me 10 $ for gas and I made? it to where I had to go. Funny thing is I was in the middle of nowhere …and everything in this song was what was happening in my life… I will always love this song….. means alot to me…

I was fortunate enough to run spotlight for Julie in 2009 in Toledo Ohio at the Smoke on the Water? festival. This was mine and the mother of my sons song. She used to tell me my musical aspirations would never get me where i needed to be or be enough to support her and him and she left me. I can honestly say that running spot for her was the moment of YES, I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!

whats amazing about this song, is that she made it 12 miles from mm203 to mm215 on empty, in a 64 ford,? (which only would’ve had a 20 gal. tank) to begin with. only getting around 17mpg from the factory. AND, she STILL had 41 miles to go from mm215 to get to a gas station….very well written song…

I’ve had MORE than my share of “breakdowns”&those who say they havent ARE LYING.LOSING MY 4YR OLD DAUGHTER in a car accident to a hitnrun driver almost pushed me to stop moving&living.WE ALL HAVE CERTAIN THINGS/EVENTS that can almost get? us to NOT GO ON.But, we have to- NO MATTER HOW BAD THE PAIN IS…we have to. Hang in there, if I CAN DO IT anyone can.
