That was awesome ..and no pick. I did ok working it out myself but with issues. You did it perfectly. Thanks
June 30, 2011 - 6:02 pm
Richie, I know the chord progressions for this song, if you want them. I used another name when I signed in before.
June 30, 2011 - 6:16 pm
Ritchie, can you tell me the chord progressions of that song? I know most of it is in the 5th position using standard blues patern of notes when improvising. I think you go up to the 8th or 9th position doing the same thing. there are other notes used out of the patern using the E string and the B string. But once again I would like to know the chord progression from that song.
June 30, 2011 - 6:19 pm
Thanks Ritchie!
June 30, 2011 - 7:09 pm
you can play that and not use a pick, nice
June 30, 2011 - 7:59 pm
Richie: you did an awsome job with this. Would you mind also doing the guitar solo in the middle of the song for us? Thanks.
June 30, 2011 - 8:30 pm
Richie: thanks so much for this. I am a 50 something that started taking guitar lessons a few years ago. Going rather slow, but somewhat steady. This is my alltime favorite solo. A little fast to follow but plan to work hard at it. Memorizing it then getting it up too speed will certainly test my abilities. It will be a considerable challenge. Thanks, Lloyd

Thanks for adding this. I’ve been trying to work it out for ages, and now you’ve made me realise it really is simple and based around the A minor and A minor pentatonic scale.
June 30, 2011 - 10:10 pm
did he have an amplifier in i could hardly hear it
June 30, 2011 - 10:42 pm
@Guevaristas They did,and so what?
June 30, 2011 - 10:46 pm
they wrote great songs, but it’s all too morbid, and indulgent and they play it at supermarkets
June 30, 2011 - 11:34 pm
no pick? wow
July 1, 2011 - 12:25 am
Thank you so much!!! This was VERY useful! Trying to follow the tab for this is brutal. You’ve made it a 1000 times easier! thanks again!
July 1, 2011 - 1:24 am
that’s great, and you look so cool playing it…without that song, there would be no “rock ballads” as we know them today.
July 1, 2011 - 2:11 am
so clear…
July 1, 2011 - 3:10 am
many thanks for teaching me one of the most touching guitar solos ever. I can’t read tabs so you’ve done great. I think I’ve got it now! thanks for being my teacher -
July 1, 2011 - 3:45 am
Been wanting to learn this for years but just never got around to it even though it’s one of my all time favourite solos. I’m no good with tab and learn everything by ear or just watching, so this inspired me to get it sorted! Had the basics in my head and you’ve filled in all the gaps for me, brilliant! Thank you so much.
July 1, 2011 - 4:32 am
Hi, very good but can you post the tab for this solo or can you e-mail me ? Thanks .

awesome playing dude!!!
July 1, 2011 - 6:36 am
This is excellent, how do you learn to play like that without reading music, is it just massive amounts of practice ?
July 1, 2011 - 7:18 am
I’ve been wanting to learn this song since it first came out, but since I’ve got a tin ear I couldn’t pick it out and can’t find any good sheet music or tab. You’ve helped a lot. Thanks much, anyone got tab of this?
You are great.
